📳 Received a suspicious text, image, or online video? 👩💻Introducing CheckMate, a new service developed by a team of passionate volunteers hailing from #techforgood volunteering organisation better.sg. CheckMate enables users to send in text, images, or links they are uncertain about to a designated WhatsApp number for checking. 🤳Behind the scenes, a combination of machine learning algorithms and human checkers assesses the credibility of the content, contributing to Singapore's efforts in combating online harms including hate speech, misinformation, and scams. 🎉We're happy to share that two of the team members hail from CPF Board, including the founder Bing Wen Tan, Senior Deputy Director from CPFB’s Business Incubator and Accelerator Department, and fact-checking lead, Amanda Goh, Social Programmes Directorate at the Ministry of Finance (#TeamCPF on secondment), who have contributed their free time to this meaningful initiative. We are excited to share that CPF Board has won the prestigious Tech Leader Awards 2024 in the Digital Achievers (Team) category for our Citizen Disbursement IT (CDIT) system. This award celebrates outstanding individuals and teams whose work in digitalisation and transformation have made a significant impact in driving the industry forward and benefitting the community, businesses, and society. CPF Board, together with GovTech Singapore developed the CDIT system to facilitate quicker rollouts of the Government’s cash disbursement schemes such as GST Voucher and Assurance Package. CDIT enables greater agility as it is able to support shorter policy cycles and timely interventions. The system also facilitates GovCash, a replacement payment mode for cheques that can disburse payments to citizens without bank accounts. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and ingenuity of our team, and CPF Board is proud to be able to drive impactful change through technology. ✨ Spreading Joy to Seniors – Adventure to Bird Paradise! 🌈🦜   On 15 April 2024, the CPF Cares Committee and dedicated volunteers brought a group of seniors from Ren Ci AMK Senior Care Centre on an unforgettable outing to Bird Paradise. Despite the initial weather concerns, the day turned out to be a blast as the seniors cruised through the bird sanctuary on their wheelchairs, with the help of our cheerful volunteers.   From the penguin cove to touring the aviaries and ending with the "Predators on Wings" show, the adventure was filled with laughter and heartwarming moments.   Calling all #TeamCPF!
